A nice set of projects,but the author begins with a discussion of the use of a chop saw the likes of which I have never seen, nor heard of previously. A radial arm saw is the closest thing I've ever seen. Also, the author fails to take into consideration that lumber is not the size its designation suggests; for example a 1" X 4" is more like 3/4" X 3 1/2" and other sizes are similarly shorted. Unaware, this could seriously foul up the novice. I'm not but that a plastic tub from WalMart is'nt a better way to go. It is certainly less expensive and I doubt the worms would care.
This book might be a great gift for someone interested in woodworking, but to me, a person who ordered it based on my interest in composting, it didn't offer much. But I suppose the mistake is mine, because I should have noted that it clearly said it was woodworking plans and not plans or a how-to for composting. Word to the possible buyer - read the title page carefully so you know what you are really buying.
